Sophia Antipolis, 15th January 2009 – WhP, France's leading localization company has partnered with the Assystem group, a major international player in the fields of Engineering, Consultancy and Innovation. The aim: To provide a wide range of services to clients: outsourcing the documentation life-cycle, from creation to the redrafting phase and localizing content for target countries.
Technical manuals, catalogues of technical illustrations, training courses, replies to bids for tender… The management and international deployment of all this content and documentation can become complicated for companies and incur excessive costs.
In order to overcome the difficulties related to the management of the documentation life-cycle, (piloting, creation, localization, distribution, maintenance) companies can now rely on innovative external resources; the combined know-how of two companies both considered to be experts in their domain.
"By means of this partnership, we can meet all the needs of our major clients who have to manage large volumes of technical and multilingual documents which are redrafted on a regular basis. The workflow involves many players (technical writers, engineers, skilled workers, translators, printers, etc.). By combining WhP's expertise with that of Assystem, we can offer clients the possibility to centralize their documentation management process while providing optimal productivity and reduced costs and deadlines. Not only does this process benefit fast-developing clients, but also those who wish to optimize their operations," explained Dominique Trouche, CEO of WhP.
The new partnership brings new rewards, WhP and Assystem will benefit from their joint venture as an EIG (Economic Interest Group) and this entity will be the clients' sole point of contact. The partnership materialized after two years of profitable collaboration with major industrial groups in France. "We think that the market for outsourcing technical documentation will reach a volume of more than €200M in Europe and that, so far, contrary to the United States, only a few companies have opted for outsourcing documentation. Our contacts with numerous potential clients led us to create this exciting joint venture," adds Dominique Trouche.
