WhP’s expertise in the field of e-learning and multimedia has been acquired through hands-on experience with major industry players. Our account teams and especially our engineers excel in coordinating the localization of different multimedia content components. Highly knowledgeable of the relevant technologies, they make it very easy for our clients—even those who are not multimedia localization experts—to bring the whole project to a successful completion.

E-learning platforms

WhP has long-standing expertise in transforming multimedia content for standalone applications and computer-based training applications. Our experience extends to courseware and modules hosted within enterprise Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Content Management Systems (CMS). Our engineering staff is familiar with industry-specific formats such as SCORM, and have expert knowledge of both front and back office applications.
Back in 2003, in the early days of Learning Management Systems and SCORM, one of WhP’s clients created a Multilingual Online Learning University comprising a knowledge base and e-learning platform used by travel industry professionals to deploy training material among their geographically-dispersed international users.

Another of our clients selected WhP to provide off-the-shelf training courses (classroom, e-learning or blended material) and customized training programs intended for large international corporations.
As a trusted partner, WhP gives the client's management team advice on which guidelines to follow during the creation of the course content to optimize the entire multinational content localization and management process. All translations performed by WhP, whether they involve text, dialogs or graphics, are managed through advanced Learning Management Systems (LCMS), which serve as the core component for delivery and maintenance of the learning content.

Learning Management Systems (LMS)

WhP is used to interfacing with many different Learning Management Systems (LMS) or Learning Content Management Systems (LCMS) as a result of its various clients’ requirements. Having established a SCORM-compliant LMS in-house, our engineers are fully proficient in the different file formats, and especially the SCORM interface. They can thus guarantee that the localized module will be validated internally, and will work in exactly the same way as the source module.

Multimedia tools, audio, video

In addition, WhP supports all the main commercial multimedia tools (please refer to our White Paper). We produce in-house audio recording, and have established partnerships with the most renowned professionals for recordings subject to constraints such as lip or sound synchronization.
WhP also supports synthetic speech software solutions which have become popular in certain situations, especially in telecommunications or embedded applications.
