For some projects involving localization, there are a lot at stake: this is especially true of financial reports or large Requests for Proposal (RFPs) where not only pricing information but the entire content is extremely sensitive.

Customers may be reluctant to outsource the localization of these projects since they have the feeling they do not retain full control over the process.

On the other hand, there are few such projects per year, and the turn-around times are often very short – a high number of translators may also be needed. Having an in-house translation team for such requests is not a viable option.
